Tomatoes, olive oil, salt, basil, garlic....just put everything in a pan and cook till tomatoes are soft. Then put them through a "passapomodoro", like in the picture. Cook again until the sauce thickens. Notice that there is NO FRYING, everything is put in the pan al crudo (uncooked), so the sauce is lighter and healthier.
Cuocete i pomodori, olio, sale, basilico e aglio e passate al passapomodoro. Notate che NON HO FRITTO niente, ho messo tutto in pentola al crudo, così il sugo è più leggero e salutare.

Allora stavolta ho deciso di mettermi un vestito che lei ha messo in un video, e ho fatto la sua parodia... le mosse, e il famoso sorriso alla Sayaka Alessandra. Quelli di voi che hanno visto il video "Puttin On The Ritz" capiranno di cosa parlo.
As you know, I wear hand-me-ups, that is, the clothes that my daughter doesn't like anymore. So this time I decided to do a parody of her. I'm wearing the dress that she wore for filming" Puttin' On the Ritz" and I made the Sayaka Alessandra famous smile... and "moves" :) Those of you who have seen the video will know what I'm talking about.
La mia amica Giusy mi ha portato una vaschetta di ricotta fresca appena fatta. Metà me la sono mangiata lì per lì perchè la ricotta ancora calda è una delizia! Con l'altra metà ho fatto gli gnocchi di ricotta e spinaci. In più ho preparato le tipiche salsicce siciliane al finocchio con le patate. E per finire, le nostre nespole siciliane locali.
My friend Giusy brought me a pot of fresh ricotta. I ate half of it immediately because nothing tastes more delicious than warm ricotta! With the other half I made gnocchi with ricotta and spinach. I also cooked the typical Sicilan fennel sausage with roast potatoes. For dessert, some Nespole (LOQUATS) grown locally. Sicily grows loads of Nespole. Loquats are originally from China but we like to think they are Sicilians:)
